The gate is now closed to cars for the winter season. Think snow!
McKenzie Pass is now rideable all the way on both east and west sides.
The gates are still closed on both sides but open to bikes vehicle-free until the third Monday of June.
The earliest the highway will open to motor vehicles is June 20, 2016, weather permitting. During the summer, about 300 cars a day travel the highway.
With the road still closed, it should make for great riding on the pass for the remainder of May and midway through June.
What are you waiting?
Come ride the famous McKenzie Pass!
AVAILABLE SOON: Our McKenzie Pass cycling jerseys were a huge hit last year. The 2016 design is set to arrive shortly. Remember to stop by early before they sell out again this year.
